Contemporary art is often seen, but not always understood.
CC ARTWALK Research Circle began with a simple question:
How does understanding happen through contemporary art?
Rather than offering fixed interpretations, we believe that understanding grows through sustained looking, thoughtful conversation, and encounters between different cultural perspectives.
Research Circle is an ongoing field practice that explores how artworks are experienced, interpreted and remembered. Every exhibition becomes a place for observation. Every participant becomes a contributor to this evolving research. 

我们相信，理解来自共同观看。

当代艺术越来越容易被看见，却未必真正被理解。

CC ARTWALK Research Circle 始于一个简单的问题：

理解，究竟如何通过当代艺术发生？

我们不希望提供标准答案，而希望通过持续观看、共同讨论与跨文化交流，重新进入作品。

在这里，每一次展览都是一次观察现场；每一位参与者，都是这项长期研究的共同贡献者。

Every month we gather around contemporary art.

Each session begins with independent viewing.

Participants are encouraged to experience exhibitions at their own pace before any curatorial introduction.

We then return to the artworks together through discussion, curatorial reflection and shared observation.

The day often ends with coffee or dinner, where conversations continue beyond the exhibition space.

Rather than collecting opinions, Research Circle documents ways of seeing.

每个月，我们共同进入一个展览现场。

活动从独立观看开始。

我们鼓励每位参与者先建立自己的观看经验，再进入策展分享与讨论。

讨论之后，我们也许会重新回到展厅。

因为真正有趣的理解，往往发生在第二次观看。

Research Circle 希望记录的，不只是观点，而是不同的人如何观看、如何理解，以及这些理解如何在交流中不断发生变化。

Every long-term research begins with a first season.

Pilot 2026 is the first public experiment of the CC ARTWALK Research Circle.

Season One consists of three-monthly field sessions across exhibitions, galleries and artist studios in Beijing.

Contributors join not simply to visit exhibitions, but to participate in an evolving research practice.

After Season One, the programme will be reviewed and refined based on participants' experiences and feedback before future seasons are announced.

Pilot 2026 是 CC ARTWALK Research Circle 的第一次公开实践。

Season One 包括三次 Field Sessions，我们将共同走进北京的美术馆、画廊及艺术家工作室。

Contributor 参与的不仅是一系列活动，更是一项持续发展的研究实践。

Season One 结束后，我们将根据参与者的反馈与观察结果，对未来的内容进行调整与完善，再开启下一季。
